A legal disclaimer

  1. Appointment Scheduling:

    • All appointments must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.

    • If an appointment is booked with less than 48 hours in advance full payment is required.

    • A non-refundable deposit of 50% and a signed contract is required to secure the booking.

    • Appointments are confirmed only after the deposit and signed contract is received. 

  2. Cancellations and Rescheduling:

    • Full refund if canceled at least 72 hours before the appointment.

    • Partial refund if canceled at least 48 hours before the appointment (excluding the deposit).

    • No refund for cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment.

    • Rescheduling is allowed up to 24 hours before the appointment without any additional fees and the same deposit will be transferred to a new date.

    • No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged the full amount.

  3. Late Arrivals:

    • Clients are expected to arrive on time. A grace period of 15 minutes will be allowed.

    • Late arrivals beyond 15 minutes may result in cancellation of the appointment with full charges applied.

  4. Travel Fees:

    • Travel fees apply for on-location services beyond 10 miles from the studio.

    • The travel fee will be calculated based on the distance and added to the total service cost.

  5. Payment Methods:

    • Acceptable payment methods include cash and digital payments (e.g., Zelle, Venmo).

    • The remaining balance is due at the time of the service, except for bridal/bridal party bookings where the remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the wedding date.

  6. Health and Safety:

    • Clients with contagious conditions (e.g., cold sores, eye infections) are advised to reschedule.

    • The makeup artist follows strict hygiene practices, including sanitizing all tools and products.

  7. Special Requests:

    • Any special requests or specific needs should be communicated at the time of booking/before the service begins.

    • Any adjustments/changes to the makeup that are desired must be voiced during the appointment.

    • Additional fees may apply for specialized products or techniques.

  8. Trials:

    • Trials for non-bridal or special event makeup are available for an additional fee.

    • Trials for brides are included.

  9. Group Bookings:

    • Group bookings require a minimum of 1 week's notice. (Based on availability we may be able to take your group booking with less notice).

    • A non-refundable deposit of 50% per person is required to secure group bookings.

  10. Refunds:

    • Full refund if canceled at least 72 hours before the appointment.

    • Partial refund if canceled at least 48 hours before the appointment (excluding the deposit).

    • No refund for cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment.

    • No refunds will be issued for services rendered.

    • Any changes or requests to the makeup must be made during the appointment. If not addressed during the appointment, no refund will be given after the appointment is done.

  11. Privacy Policy:

    • Client information is kept confidential and used solely for appointment scheduling and communication purposes.

    • Photos taken during the session may be used for promotional purposes with the client's consent.

    • The studio address and phone number will be kept confidential and shared only with confirmed clients.

Privacy Policy - the basics 

Having said that, a privacy policy is a statement that discloses some or all of the ways a website collects, uses, discloses, processes, and manages the data of its visitors and customers. It usually also includes a statement regarding the website’s commitment to protecting its visitors’ or customers’ privacy, and an explanation about the different mechanisms the website is implementing in order to protect privacy. 

 

Different jurisdictions have different legal obligations of what must be included in a Privacy Policy. You are responsible to make sure you are following the relevant legislation to your activities and location.

What to include in the Privacy Policy

Generally speaking, a Privacy Policy often addresses these types of issues: the types of information the website is collecting and the manner in which it collects the data; an explanation about why is the website collecting these types of information; what are the website’s practices on sharing the information with third parties; ways in which your visitors an customers can exercise their rights according to the relevant privacy legislation; the specific practices regarding minors’ data collection; and much much more.
